For the last year we have had close connections with Jamestown Christian Fellowship. This is a church full of the vulnerable, the homeless and the addicted. If there is someone there who does not fall under this category, then it is likely that they are tent making missionaries called to serve in the Jamestown area.
Last night, December 2, 2013, we presented a new part of our seminar on emotions and then a section on the voice of temptation. It was very well received among the 20+ people who were there for the Monday night recovery/freedom ministry. It was exciting to see at least 5 new faces, and to have the opportunity to share, not only some tools for overcoming addictive behavior, but also the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
One girl shared, “thank you so much for coming and helping our “small work” here.”
Another shared, “I know the voice of temptation, that is always in my head, I now can practice not listening to it.”
It was amazing to sit and simply watch people read the notes we handed out before we even started. One gal was turning to the leader and saying, wow this is so true…..how deeply encouraging.
God is good.
