Hamburg to Bremen then on to London to Spain Part One

Last Thursday John and I Left Hamburg early in the morning, took the bus, then the metro, climbed many steps, rode the escalator, ended up at the Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) to take a train to Bremen. We then climbed more stairs, rode another metro, ending up at Bremen airport.  We then walked and walked……to land up in a warehouse where Ryan air is situated.

A quick flight over to London Stanstead where we had a 9 hour wait before our next flight.  We rented a car and I drove across country, on the left side of the road,  John sitting rather nervously in the passenger seat feeling totally out of control.  The country roads are extremely narrow and only really have room for one car and if there is a tractor or some animals…….

We were going to discover a part of my past, the villages where I grew up over 30 years ago.
Here are some pictures of the countryside, churches, architecture and the house where I grew up:

Place where we had lunch. Really lovely farm shop but old, with original beams and low doorways.
